About the Bundles
Digital December is our once-a-year event where we release a new digital bundle of classic living books, along with updates to previous bundles. It’s our way of giving families an affordable, organised digital library they can use throughout the year.
Each year’s bundle contains every book we have the rights to include that were released digitally that year, organised by category. Many titles include both PDF and ePub formats, with more titles being made available as an ePub all the time.
No. Each year includes that year’s new releases only. There’s no overlap between individual year bundles.
Yes — you can buy each year individually or purchase the All-In-One Digital Library, which includes everything from all years.
Yes—we understand that every family has different needs. Some need to travel light or have trouble getting books delivered, so whenever we can we make titles available in both print and digital formats.
Yes. All files are DRM-free. You fully own them and may load them on any personal device in your household.
The files are licensed for single-household use only. If your extended family, co-op, or school wishes to use them, please direct them to purchase their own bundle.
Downloading the Files
You’ll receive a download email containing the links, and the files will also appear instantly in your Living Book Press account under “Downloads.” You may download them any time.
Check your Promotions, Spam, or Junk folder. If you still can’t find it, log in to your account and the files will be waiting under Downloads. If they’re missing, contact us and we’ll resend the link.
The links shouldn’t expire, but if something goes wrong please email us and we’ll sort it out.
We offer both options: a single ZIP file for the whole years bundle and smaller zip files for easier downloading on slower connections.
Yes. You can download smaller zip files (around 450MB) or the full years bundle. If you need smaller collections please get in touch and we will sort something out.
If you checked out as a guest and would like to set up an account so your files will be available at any time, please grab the free files we offer each month, and ensure you create an account at checkout using the same email. Your old orders should be automatically added to your account. If they aren’t, or you have changed your email address please let us know and we will move the purchase to your new account.
Accounts & Updates
Creating an account ensures your files are stored permanently and lets us add new ePubs or improved editions straight into your library. Every Dec we will release a new zip that will be added to your account, full of any new ePub files, or any other updates. You will be able to extract this to the same directory as your original zip and the old files will be overwritten by the new ones ensuring you have the latest copies at your fingertips.
Yes. Each December we add all updated or newly converted files to your account automatically.
Updates may include:
- newly added ePub files
- improved layouts
- corrected typos
- upgraded illustrations
- or any other tweaks that are made
Yes. Whenever an older PDF-only title receives an ePub, it is added to the bundle it originally belongs to. If you purchased a bundle prior in 2023 or 2024 then your downloads have been updated. The file system has changed so you’ll need to download the entire bundle again, sorry.
Yes. Any corrected files will be uploaded to your account at no cost.
File Formats
- PDF: fixed layout, identical to the print edition.
- ePub: reflowable, adjustable text, ideal for phones and e-readers.
For more information on the differences between formats please see this page.
Some layouts—particularly illustrated or highly formatted books—do not convert cleanly to reflowable ePub. To keep the reading experience as good as we can these titles are only available as a PDF.
We are actively converting older titles and plan to offer ePubs for every suitable book. All new releases are prepared in both formats whenever possible.
Yes. Our PDFs are fully typeset and can be printed at home. To keep file sizes down, images are at a reduced resolution compared to the files used for printing our physical books and may not be as crisp.
Yes—where appropriate. Some illustrations that rely on precise page placement may be omitted if they disrupt the reading flow, or images purely for page decoration, however most narrative titles include all of the artwork that appears in the print edition.

Yes. Once downloaded, both PDFs and ePubs work completely offline.
ePub. It allows you to adjust text size, margins, and background colour.
Yes. PDFs are ideal for printing selections.
Absolutely. Please note, though, that printing and binding a complete book yourself often ends up costing more (in both time and materials) than ordering the physical copy.
Troubleshooting
Ensure you used Send to Kindle, as raw ePubs or PDFs placed manually on the device may not open correctly. Also confirm your Kindle software is up to date.
Try increasing the font size, switching fonts, or adjusting page view settings. If images still don’t appear, your device may not support certain image types—contact us and we’ll help.
Make sure you’re using a modern PDF viewer. Some older apps don’t fully support embedded images. Adobe Reader, Apple Books, and modern browsers work best.
Ensure the download completed fully. Partially downloaded ZIP files may report errors. Try re-downloading or unzip with a different app.
This usually means the file didn’t finish downloading. Delete it and download again while connected to a stable network.
Technical Questions
Adobe Reader, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Xodo, or any modern PDF viewer. Personally, I’m a fan of Foxit Free PDF Reader.
Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, Moon+ Reader, or ReadEra. As an Android user. I use Moon+ reader on my phone and tablet, and Calibre on my PC.
Calibre is excellent for library management, tagging, and metadata editing. All books have the title and author metadata already filled in. The folders are already organised by category, but if you’re wanting to catalog everything using some software Calibre is great.
Sizes vary by year but expect 1–4 GB per bundle depending on illustrations and number of titles. Each bundle is also available in smaller files, around 450MB max, so you can download it in pieces if your connection isn’t great. If you still have trouble please get in touch and we’ll sort something out.
Bundle Organisation
Each bundle is arranged into folders such as Literature, History, Nature Study, etc., with titles listed alphabetically inside each category. Sometimes there will be a subfolder if a series of books belongs within a category.
If the folder structure is modified in future the original zip files will be updated also, and I’ll include a list of changes if you’d rather move things manually.
Yes. The files are DRM-free and safe to rename.
Just please note that if files are updated the update won’t overwrite the earlier file if it moved or renamed.
Yes. You can find the list of books on each bundles page, or you can download a sortable spreadsheet here. There are individual sheets for each year listing the title, author, folder and whether the epub is included. The master list also includes the same information with an extra column containing the year bundle in which the book is found.
