At Living Book Press, our mission is simple: to make homeschooling with great living books as easy and joyful as possible. How do we do that? One key way is by making it effortless to browse the books used in your favorite curricula.
Today, we’re putting the spotlight on one of those key programs: Moravia Press. Here are their answers to a few quick questions so you can learn more about it.

1. What do you love most about homeschooling?
What I enjoy most about homeschooling is the time and relationship it allows me to build with my children. It shapes the very atmosphere of our home. The rhythms we keep, the habits we cultivate, and the conversations we have spill far beyond ‘school hours’ and become part of our family life. Homeschooling has given us a structure that fosters connection, discipleship, and a sense of home that reaches into every corner of our days.
2. What is your favorite book listed in your curriculum and why?
My favorite Living Book Press title in my curriculum is Richard Halliburton’s Book of Marvels (used in Echo of Place: Geography). His descriptions of places and landmarks are so vivid and full of wonder. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit a few of the sites he writes about in The Occident and The Orient, and I love the way he invites the reader to travel with him. I’ve often dreamed of taking a ‘Halliburton travel-cation’ and following his footsteps around the world.
It’s nearly impossible to choose a favorite among so many beloved books, but I have especially enjoyed The Advent of the Lamb by Russ Ramsey. It traces the story of redemption through the biblical narrative within its ancient-world setting, and it has been deeply faith-forming for me—completely apart from homeschooling. I’ve also loved reading many Form 2 literature selections with my sons, especially The Singing Tree by Kate Seredy, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry, and A Cry From Egypt by Hope Auer.
3. What are your hopes for your curriculum in the future?
My hope for Moravia Press is that it would continue to be a true blessing—not in a monetary sense for me, but as a resource that strengthens connection and discipleship within homes. I want parents to feel prepared and confident to teach history, and to cultivate an atmosphere where beauty, truth, and hope are offered freely to their children. If these guides can serve families in that way, then Moravia Press has fulfilled its purpose.
