1. What do you love most about homeschooling?
What I love most is the gift of time—time for children to be outdoors, to explore, to notice, and to play. Homeschooling also opens doors that a traditional classroom simply can’t (or don’t): rich living books, wide-ranging experiences, and the freedom to follow real curiosity. No matter a family’s circumstances.
2. What is your favorite book listed in your curriculum and why?
Choosing one feels a bit like choosing a favorite child! But for the youngest students, Magnets by Franklyn Branley holds a special place. There’s something unforgettable about watching a child encounter the invisible force of magnetism for the first time—that moment when wonder dawns.
3. What are your hopes for your curriculum in the future?
My hope is that it reshapes the way families think about science and nature study. I want it to show that real science begins with curiosity, attention, and relationship—and that living books and simple outdoor habits can Open the Door to Wonder for every child.
