Making Classic Living Books
Affordable and Available for All
Living Book Press is run by homeschoolers who couldn’t find the books we needed, so we decided to print them ourselves. We transcribe, format and proof each book meticulously by hand. We are happy to offer them for sale so that homeschoolers around the world now have easy access to classic living books that have gone out of print or were too expensive to obtain.

Family Read-Aloud of the Month
Just David
by Eleanor H. Porter
What happens when a mysterious boy with a violin descends from the mountains and enters a world he doesn’t understand? Just David is a heartwarming tale of innocence, music, and the quiet power of kindness that transforms an entire village.
Raised in seclusion by his musician father, David knows only beauty, truth, and harmony—until he is suddenly thrust into a bustling town filled with confusion, suspicion, and sorrow. With only his violin and an open heart, David touches the lives of those around him in ways they never imagined.
Perfect for family read-alouds, Just David is a moving story of hope, healing, and the search for belonging. Eleanor H. Porter, beloved author of Pollyanna, invites readers into a world where music speaks louder than words—and even the most ordinary people can discover something extraordinary.
Share this unforgettable journey and see the world through the eyes of Just David—where wonder, joy, and love are never far away.
