My five year old is loving the stories and practicing counting and basic arithmetic. We read a couple of pages each day depending on his attention span and in a few weeks he’s started (completely on his own) working out similar problems. (“I want three cookies and sister wants two, so, Mommy, we need five cookies!). My three-year-old has even started counting just from listening and looking.

Such a fun and easy introduction to math! I used it with a 4 year old prior to beginning a kindergarten curriculum after his 5th birthday, and he has had such an easy time with kindergarten math, thanks to this introduction.

I agree with every comment here! I absolutely love his arithmetic series. I really like the slow paced progression using stories to introduce arithmetic. This series does a fabulous job at helping kids from an early age understand mathematical story problems; because the book is saturated with them. The stories are colourful, funny, and engaging. This series will also help kids expand their vocabulary for describing things. Throughout the series, children will become familiar with, adjectives, comparatives, and superlatives in order to describe the pictures. I hands down love this series 1 and 2, especially if you are looking for a tear free and delightful curriculum for your child’s first year learning.
