  1. Brittany Roberson

If you are planning on studying the 1500’s soon, be sure to include this book on Sir Francis Drake!

The Age of Exploration has always fascinated me. And Sir Francis Drake was a key part to this era. He lived during the reign of Queen Elizabeth – living the life of a privateer, sailing around the world, and fighting off the Spanish Armada. This book is written in a chronological journey of his life. It would be helpful to have a world map handy during your read-through…because he was truly all over the world!

I would recommend ages 10 and up.
